Carole was born in New Zealand and educated at Epsom Girls Grammar School in Auckland. Until she went away to boarding school, Carole lived on the family dairy farm with her parents and five older brothers. Carol was working in Auckland as a secretary/receptionist when she met Rodney Hayter who kept extolling the virtues of Western Australia. he managed to persuade her to come and have a look. Fourteen years later, Carol claims she is still looking. he couple have both a small property on the outskirts of Boddington and their home was originally the Prussian family home from Boddington which they have transported in two sections to a marvellous hillside site on their farm.
