Dawn is proprietor of the well-known and prestigious Oyster Beds. A woman of great charm with a vibrant personality. Dawn was guest speaker at the Book Club’s Christmas Luncheon at the Function Room in December 1984.

Only too happy to help. this is one of my favourite recipes, being terribly lazy but on the other hand enjoying good food with a bit of flair.
Garlic Prawns
Sauce prawns in a bit of garlic butter. I usually allow 200g per person, when half cooked add a bit of fresh orange juice with a few little strips of rind. When nearly cooked, pour brandy and light. When the flames die down add a bit of cream to thicken and serve with rice.
If you can, cook it in front of the guests. They are usually terribly impressed.
