“To a wolf all mutton is lamb,” Mrs Viggars said. “I know a delicious way to serve lamb”, someone said. “Have you ever tried tinned oysters?”, someone else joined in. “You make a little white sauce, you know with a knob of butter, the size of a walnut, and a dessert spoon of flour, salt and pepper to taste, and then, my dear, you simply throw in the whole tin – oh – and a squeeze of lemon – the whole thing is done while the bread is toasting. So quick! Quite delicious. Very nourishing and frightfully cheap.” “The perfect midnight snack you could say.”
