Kaye Ferrari (Née Lubcke)

Kaye was born and spent her early years in a small farming community near Murray Bridge in South Australia. When she was about twelve, her family came west and bought a property at Darken. Kaye came to Boddington to work in the local hospital and married a local farmer, Michael Ferrari. The couple have two children, Simon and Michelle. Very active in community affairs, Kay has recently become a member of the Arts Council and joined the ceramics group.

Cream Puffs (no Failure mixture)

Kay has made these her speciality and whenever the occasion call for cream puffs, Kaye is automatically assigned the job.

Ingredients

1 heaped tablespoon butter

½ cup self raising flour

½ cup boiling water

2 eggs

Method

Melt butter and add boiling water. Bring to the boil. Add flour, mix quickly and remove from stove. Add uneaten eggs, one at a time. Beat until mixture is quite smooth. Put large teaspoonfuls on a greased tray. Bake in a reasonably hot oven, 200° to 210° C for 30 minutes. Makes approximately 20.
