Pauline de Roche

Pauline was born in Adelaide and was educated at Woodlands Church of England Girls Grammar School. After matriculating, she attended Western Teachers College (now Torrens College of Advanced Education). Her first teaching appointment was at Port August, where she met her husband, Yves. After living in Noumea for six months, they came to Perth. That was fourteen years ago. After her daughter, Olivia was born, Pauline completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education. Pauline was posted to Boddington and her first impression was of a quiet, friendly town, nestled in beautiful country – a view she still holds.

Pauline considers that she has had a rich and varied teaching career, spanning nearly twenty years.

While in Boddington, for two years Pauline taught Year 6 where her talent and enthusiasm rubbed off on to her pupils. Pauline’s enthusiasm was responsible for the marvellous display contribution towards the Arts Council Open Day. Pauline is now teaching at Augusta and travels each day from Molloy Island, where she, Yves, Olivia and son Pascal have created a delightful home. Boddington’s loss must surely be Augusta’s gain.
